With a country soul and an eco heart, Collombatti Cottage is
nestled on a 100 acre property in the sprawling pastures of the Macleay Valley Coast,
halfway between Sydney and the Gold Coast. This newly built, modern country retreat
composes two bedrooms - each with their own bathroom, open plan living, generous
cooks kitchen and large deck to absorb the most beautiful surroundings.
Sustainably built for the conscious traveller, we welcome two to four adults. The quality inclusions provide the perfect backdrop for interacting with the characters and beauty of nature, and each other. The homes design allows both the freedom of personal space and communal living as you please.
The perfect spot to rejuvenate your travelling spirit, relax after a bush or beach day
and base yourself while you explore all the natural beauty and recommended
hotspots that the Mid North Coast has to offer.
All conveniences are covered, the only essential to bring is a willingness to breath deeply,
draw in the peace and be renewed.
The rear deck will be almost impossible to leave. You will relish spending time acquainting yourself with the friendliest herd of Miniature Galloway Cows who pop up morning and evening. It’s best purpose is being used as a vantage point to absorb the 180 degree, ever-changing, countryside views and romantic sunsets over the dam, before the twinkle of the night sky wraps up your day.
Inside, there is a bath and a cosy wood fired bakers oven to continue the warm glow. Add
lush bamboo bedding, house made personal care products, gorgeous furnishings and
Australian art and you’ve got yourself a small home experience like no other. Work isn’t out
of the question. Speedy WiFi, a TV with Netflix, bluetooth speaker and google home nest
are mod-con concessions to the solitude.
Backing onto the State Forest. There are walking tracks and 4WD bush trails around us, we have fish in our dams for those seeking the solitide of the water, if you can snatch them from the local Jabiru’s. Just 15 Minutes to a regional hub and major grocery stores and 30 to spectacular beaches.
Pets will be considered if you reach out prior too booking.
We are on natures doorstep, You should expect to see kangaroos and other native animals, reptiles, a variety of aquatic and wild bird life and our beloved miniature Galloways but also with them comes snakes, bugs and spiders. We respect these animals and they are an important part of the environment where we live. We keep the grass short and area tidy to discourage snakes getting close. If you see a snake in the wild it is best to not interfere with them, in the unlikely event we do have a snake bite kit on site and readily available for guests.
